Why Heracles chose Nuvibody

A thoughtful answer to what our clients kept asking for

More and more Heracles clients have been asking us for serious full-body red light therapy equipment. We wanted a range that made the science understandable, offered clear choices for different spaces and could stand up to regular use. Nuvibody fits that brief.

The company began after its founder experienced severe psoriasis and started looking beyond the conventional options he had been offered. That search led him to red light therapy, but also exposed two problems: dependable information was difficult to find and good equipment was prohibitively expensive.

Nuvibody grew from a simple aim: make evidence-led light therapy easier to understand, safer to use and more accessible. Its “For the Long Game” philosophy favours consistent habits and durable equipment over quick fixes. That is a view of wellness we are proud to support.

Full-body photobiomodulation

What is a red light therapy bed?

Red light therapy, also called photobiomodulation, uses selected red and near-infrared wavelengths. These wavelengths are commonly used to support the body’s natural cellular processes, with applications spanning skin health, exercise recovery and general wellbeing.

A full-body red light therapy bed places LEDs above and below the user. This gives broad, even coverage without repeatedly moving a handheld device or standing in front of a panel. The enclosed, hands-free format also makes sessions easier to repeat in a clinic, studio or home routine.

Consistent coverageLight reaches the front and back of the body in one session.
Short, repeatable sessionsRecommended treatments range from 10 to 20 minutes by model.
Built for regular useLong-life LEDs, active cooling and guided controls suit busy wellness settings.

What the research is exploring

Cellular energy pathways A mechanistic review describes how red and near-infrared light may influence mitochondrial signalling and ATP production. Read the mechanism paper
Exercise performance and recovery A systematic review and meta-analysis examined exercise performance and recovery markers, with outcomes affected by dose and timing. Read the systematic review
Skin and scar response A small case series studied low-level light as an adjunct for hypertrophic scars and keloids. This is early evidence, not a treatment guarantee. Read the case series

These papers study photobiomodulation generally, not clinical trials of the Nuvibody beds. Evidence strength varies by outcome and protocol, and results differ between people. This equipment supports general wellbeing and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.

Nuvibody red light therapy bed FAQs

Which Nuvibody red light therapy bed should I choose?

Choose the Lite for premium home use or an accessible first commercial service, the Core for shorter sessions in a busier clinic or studio, and the Pro where maximum output, comfort and throughput matter most. Room size, doorway access and electrical supply may also decide which model is suitable.

How long is a full-body red light therapy session?

The recommended session is around 20 minutes on the Nuvibody Lite, 15 minutes on the Core and 10 minutes on the Pro. Treatment frequency should follow the operating guidance for the chosen protocol and individual user.

What wavelengths do Nuvibody beds use?

The Lite uses 633, 660, 850 and 940 nm. The Core and Pro add 810 nm, giving five selectable red and near-infrared wavelengths. Each product page explains the output and controls in detail.

Are Nuvibody beds suitable for commercial use?

Yes. The range is designed for regular use in clinics, gyms, recovery studios, spas and other professional wellness settings. The Core and Pro are particularly suited to venues that need shorter sessions and higher daily throughput.

What electrical supply does a red light therapy bed need?

The Lite uses a 1,500 W, 10 A single-phase supply. The Core needs a dedicated 20 A circuit, while the 6,000 W Pro requires a heavy-duty connection and may need a separate power group. We recommend confirming the site requirements with us before ordering.

How are Nuvibody beds delivered and installed in the UK?

Standard lead time is normally 8–12 weeks. The beds include white-glove delivery, installation and on-site training. We will confirm doorway access, room dimensions and the electrical plan before delivery.

Is red light therapy suitable for everyone?

Red light therapy is non-invasive, but it is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. Anyone with a medical condition, unusual light sensitivity or medication that may cause photosensitivity should seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before use.
