Delivery pricing and regions

Delivery is included in the product price for eligible sauna orders to mainland England and Wales, excluding the Isle of Wight and Isles of Scilly.

Mainland Scotland delivery supplements of £399 or £749 including VAT apply by postcode and are shown at checkout.

Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Scottish islands, BFPO, Europe and every other international or offshore destination require an individual quotation before ordering.

Eligible Scottish customers can select free collection from our private Widnes warehouse. Collection is by appointment and may be made personally or by a nominated carrier.

All Haljas products are made to order in Estonia, the home of the sauna. We will handle everything in terms of delivery to your doorstep, however the sauna will need to be unloaded by you the customer. Please consult this installation guide.

Using a forklift to offload is strongly advised, regardless of whether the sauna is delivered as a flat pack or assembled. Many customers arrange delivery to a site with forklift access. We recommend being on-site with a trailer that can handle loads up to 1,600 kg and 5 metres long. If a forklift is unavailable, manual offloading is possible with 4-6 people; note that the driver will not assist but will provide 2 hours for offloading, with a penalty fee for any additional time.

We'll coordinate the flatbed delivery to suit your schedule, notifying you once the pickup date is confirmed and keeping you updated until delivery.

If forklift access is impractical, hiring a crane or a HIAB might be necessary. While we can facilitate this, however, arranging it yourself is usually more cost-effective.

Warranty

The warranty for Haljas Saunas material and manufacturing defects applies for 24 months.

The warranty applies on the prerequisite that the product is being used and cared for according to the manufacturers’ manuals.

Commercial Use

In case of commercial use, the warranty applies for 6 months.

Conditions

The warranty does not cover naturally occurring and expected characteristics of wood materials (differences in wood grain, knots, slight variations in tone) and phenomena that occur naturally during use of the product (shrinkage and expansion due to temperature and humidity, moderate deformation).
The warranty does not cover natural wear and tear that occurs during the intended use of the product.
The warranty does not cover man-made injuries to the product.
The warranty does not cover injuries or defects caused by the use of wrong cleaning compounds or methods.
The warranty does not cover indirect costs such as a reconstruction or a removal of a terrace beneath the sauna.
In case of any issues concerning the warranty please contact the manufacturer or distributor immediately.
The warranty will be broken in case of an independent fixing of the product.

Return and Refunds

Made to order. This product is built to your specification, so we cannot accept returns or cancellations for a change of mind once production has started. Your legal rights are not affected: if it is faulty, damaged or not as described, we will repair, replace or refund it, and it is covered by its warranty. Electrical Supply

The electrical supply required will depend on the kW rating of your chosen sauna heater. We strongly recommend consulting with a qualified electrician prior to any installation.

Typically, a dedicated supply is required—similar to those used for electric showers or cookers. Most domestic sauna heaters in the UK are connected to a single-phase 230V supply, and the Amps can be calculated using:

Watts ÷ Volts = Amps

For example: a 6kW (6000W) heater ÷ 230V = approximately 26 Amps

Below is a general guide for domestic sauna heaters:

We strongly advise that installation is carried out by a fully qualified electrician, and that all work complies with current Government regulations and wiring standards (e.g., BS 7671 in the UK).

Maintenance

Haljas Hele Single Outdoor Sauna 7 Seater is designed for outdoor use, but it is not maintenance-free. A small amount of regular care will help protect the timber, keep the sauna clean, and prevent avoidable issues over time.

After each use

• Wipe down wet benches, backrests, floors and high-contact areas.

• Leave the door and vents open until the interior has dried properly.

• Do not leave wet towels or accessories inside the sauna.

Cleaning

• Clean periodically with warm water, a soft cloth or brush, and a mild sauna-safe cleaner.

• Avoid harsh household chemicals, bleach, ammonia, abrasive cleaners, or normal interior varnishes.

Benches and backrests

• Sit on towels during use to reduce sweat staining.

• If bench timber becomes dry or marked, it can be lightly cleaned, gently sanded if needed, and treated with a sauna-suitable bench protection product where appropriate.

Doors, hinges and timber movement

• Outdoor timber naturally expands and contracts with heat, humidity and weather.

• Minor door or hinge adjustments may occasionally be required. This is normal routine maintenance rather than a product fault.

Heater stones

• Inspect sauna stones regularly, especially with frequent use.

• Replace stones if they become cracked, crumbly, heavily discoloured, or start breaking down.

• Stack stones loosely enough to allow airflow around the heating elements. Only use proper sauna stones, not garden or beach stones.

Exterior, roof and exposed locations

• Check the exterior, roof, fixings, hinges, vents and drainage periodically, especially after storms or long wet periods.

• Coastal, shaded, very exposed, or high-rainfall locations may need more frequent maintenance.

• In coastal or sea-air locations, exposed metal parts such as hinges, fixings and brackets should be checked more often and given extra corrosion protection where appropriate, such as WD-40 or a suitable zinc-based protective spray.

• In windy or exposed locations, check that any parts vulnerable to wind lift or movement are properly secured. This can include roof shingles, trims, covers and lightweight external fittings. If needed, use additional suitable fixings, adhesive, or restraints in line with the manufacturer’s guidance.

Manuals

• Always follow the specific manual supplied with your sauna and heater. If the manual gives different maintenance instructions, the manufacturer’s manual should take priority.

Haljas model-specific care

For Haljas saunas, follow the supplied manufacturer manual for exact timber treatment, cleaning, heater and roof-care requirements.

• If the sauna has factory-finished or specialised cladding, do not apply ordinary paint, varnish, or household wood products unless the manufacturer confirms they are suitable.

Exquisite Craftsmanship

The sauna's design features Cross Laminated Timber panels, glulam posts, and dual-paned reflective glass. LED IP-65 strips provide ambient illumination in both the interior and exterior spaces.

There are two interior layout options: premium and luxury. Both are available in two colour options: light (aspen) or dark (thermo alder).

Hele Single is available with an electric heater or wood-fired heater. Ventilation method depends on the heater type. With an electric heater there is mechanical ventilation and with a wood-fired heater there is natural ventilation.

HUUM HIVE Mini 10.5 kW Electric Heater

The HUUM HIVE Mini 10.5 kW electric heater is a powerful and efficient heating solution that complements the Hele Single perfectly. This heater features a UKU Black local control panel, which offers precise temperature regulation and ensures user safety with its integrated safety railing. The HIVE Mini is equipped with an embedding flange and an innovative air tunnel, optimising airflow and heat distribution. Complete with 150 kg of stones, it provides a robust and consistent heat. This heater comes with a UKU local control panel as standard, but can choose to upgrade to UKU WiFi or UKU 4G controls above.

Cozy 12 kW Wood-Fired Heater

The heart of a sauna is its heater, and the Cozy 12 kW LS wood-fired heater excels at providing mild, long-lasting heat. This heater, which includes 120 kg of stones and a chimney set, ensures a comfortable sauna experience by producing steam when water is thrown on the stones. Unique in Estonia, Cozy heaters meet the stringent German BIMSCH certificate requirements in TÜV tests without the need for supportive equipment, making them exceptionally fuel-efficient, using at least 25% less fuel compared to similar heaters, and in some tests, up to 40% less. Additionally, the smoke gases are six times cleaner than those from comparable heaters. Designed for saunas sized 6-13m³, the Cozy 12 kW LS also features a safe distance of only 17 cm between the heater and flammable materials without requiring fire protection screens.

Premium Interior

The premium interior features a simple yet elegant sauna bench that comes in two options: light aspen or dark thermo alder. The bright interior of light aspen makes the room even more spacious and brings along an ethereal feeling of peace. The dark interior of thermo alder features an elegant dark brown shade which without much texture creates a sleek sophisticated atmosphere. Hele Single premium interior is only available with a wood-fired heater.

Luxury Interior

The standing platform and each of the seven seats are formed by converging rays which have been engineered to the smallest of details and cut precisely with CNC. The seats are tied together by a detail of 8-layer lamination which is custom hand bent. The design comes with majestic ambiance. The interior solution can be chosen between two options: light aspen or dark thermo alder. Hele Single luxury interior comes only with an electric heater.

Can these saunas be delivered flat pack and assembled on site?

No, all Haljas saunas are delivered fully assembled. This is to ensure the integrity of the structure and to prevent any draughts or openings that could lead to damage.

Do I need a crane?

This will depend on the location that you wish to place your sauna. If there is sufficient access, the sauna can be positioned with a fork lift.

If I do need a crane, can you organise this for me?

We deliver the sauna to your location free of charge, however, the cost of a crane will vary significantly depending on the site. We advise that you organise your own crane/HIAB with a local contractor. If you wish, we can organise this for you, but it will always be cheaper to organise it yourself.

Is the heater included in the price?

Yes, the prices above include the heater, stones and controls. You can choose to upgrade your controls to wifi/mobile control.

When will I receive my order?

This is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date. The timing can vary depending on production schedules, dispatch arrangements or other unforeseen delays. If you need the product by a particular date, please call us before placing your order so we can check the current schedule with you.

Does this sauna include a heater?

Yes. The price includes a wood-fired heater (Premium layout). The Luxury layout with an electric heater is available as an upgrade in "Design your sauna".

Final wiring must be completed by a qualified electrician; electrical connection is not included with sauna assembly.

Does installation include the electrical connection?

No. Our installation team can assemble the sauna, but the heater and any other electrical components must still be connected by a qualified electrician.

You will need a suitable electrical supply and, at minimum, an isolator switch. Full details are provided in the Electrical Supply section on the product page.

Can any qualified electrician connect the sauna, and do you provide guidance?

Yes. Any qualified electrician should be able to connect the sauna, provided they follow the electrical requirements listed in the Electrical Supply section of the product page.

After you place your order, we also send further information that you can pass on to your electrician.

Can you recommend an electrician for the final connection?

In some cases, we may be able to share details of electricians who have connected saunas for previous customers.

Availability will depend on your location, and you are also welcome to use your own qualified electrician.

How long does professional assembly take?

Assembly time depends on the model, access and site conditions. Many outdoor saunas can be assembled in around one day, while larger or more complex models may take longer.

Is the Heracles installation team experienced with this model?

Yes. Our installation team uses specialist carpenters and installers who are experienced in assembling outdoor saunas, which is one of the reasons many customers prefer professional installation.

What sort of base does the sauna need?

Outdoor saunas should be installed on a solid, level, well-drained base that is suitable for the size and weight of the model you are buying.

Suitable options can include a concrete pad, paving, tiles, or structurally suitable decking, provided the surface is flat, stable, and able to support the load without movement.

We also recommend positioning the base far enough away from walls, fences, and other obstructions to allow access for future wood treatment and maintenance, and to ensure the fuse box can still be accessed when needed.

Do you carry out site visits before installation?

No. We do not carry out site visits.

Our installation team will use that information to assess access, base preparation and positioning, and flag any obvious issues before installation.

Why has my sauna door gone out of alignment over time?

In outdoor saunas, it is normal for the timber structure to respond to changes in temperature, humidity, and ambient conditions over time. This can occasionally cause minor movement in the door opening, which may affect how the door closes or sits within the frame.

For this reason, sauna door hinges are designed to be adjustable. Minor door or hinge alignment adjustments over time are normal and should be carried out in line with the manual as part of routine ownership maintenance, rather than being treated as a product fault.

Can I see one of your saunas in person before ordering?

We do not currently have a full showroom, but many of our existing customers are happy to show their sauna to prospective buyers.

If you would like to see one in person, please contact us and we can try to arrange a viewing with a customer in or near your area.

Do outdoor saunas need regular maintenance?

Yes. Outdoor saunas are not maintenance-free.

As a minimum, owners should expect to inspect and re-treat exposed timber at least every 12 months, or sooner if the manufacturer manual and local conditions require it.

You should also expect to make minor door or hinge adjustments over time in line with the manual, as timber structures naturally move slightly with changes in temperature and humidity.

In coastal or sea-air environments, exposed metal parts should be checked more regularly and protected with a rust-proof treatment such as WD-40 or another suitable anti-corrosion product.

Sauna heaters also require maintenance in line with the manufacturer manual. This normally includes periodically checking, washing, and restacking the stones, and in the longer term electric heater elements may need replacing if they wear out.

We do not currently offer a formal maintenance programme.

What paint or treatment should I use on my outdoor sauna?

If your sauna has exposed or untreated exterior timber, use a breathable, UV-resistant and water-resistant exterior wood treatment. We recommend Tikkurila Valtti Plus Kesto or Tikkurila Valtti Plus Color. If you prefer a clear, natural finish, Osmo UV Protection Oil is a good option.

Apply the treatment after assembly and before regular use, then inspect the timber annually and re-treat it as required for the product and your site’s exposure.

For sauna-room walls, window frames and door frames, use Tikkurila Supi Sauna Finish or Tikkurila Supi Sauna Wax. For benches and backrests, use Tikkurila Supi Laudesuoja Bench Protection. Never use ordinary exterior paint, varnish or household wood treatments inside the heated sauna room.

If your sauna has factory-finished or specialist cladding, follow the supplied manual and do not overcoat it unless the manufacturer confirms the product is suitable.

These recommendations are general guidance. Check both the sauna manufacturer’s manual and the treatment manufacturer’s instructions, and satisfy yourself that the product is suitable for the timber and any existing finish before applying it. If you are unsure about a colour, request samples from the manufacturer or retailer and test one on a spare timber offcut or a small, inconspicuous area first.

How much treatment should I buy for the Haljas Hele Single?

Buy no paint or timber treatment before first use of the Haljas Hele Single. It is supplied with factory-finished or specialist surfaces that should not be overcoated with a generic product.

Can this sauna be used commercially?

Yes. Our traditional saunas are suitable for commercial use, and we already supply many commercial customers.

Commercial use requires a regular maintenance regime, as it would with any sauna. This includes cleaning the sauna, inspecting and maintaining the heater stones, and re-treating or painting the timber when required. The frequency will depend on usage, location and the manufacturer's maintenance instructions.
