What are the Electrical Requirements?
We strongly recommend consulting with an electrician prior to the arrival of your sauna. Please see the Electrical supply tab for further details. This sauna comes with a Harvia Vega BC60 6kW electric heater. This can be run from either a single phase or three phase supply. Please give the heater installation manual to your electrician so that he can understand how to wire it. This can be found here.
What is Thermowood?
Thermowood stands out as the material of choice for the Camilla Sauna, thanks to its exceptional qualities. This thermally treated pine wood undergoes a specialised thermal modification process, significantly reducing its moisture content.
Less Warping
Through the process of gradually heating and cooling the timber, all resins, sugars, and impurities are extracted. Closing the cell structure results in a moisture content of only 7%, making the timber incredibly stable, durable, and free from impurities that may attract insects. This meticulous method ensures a high-quality sauna that will provide a comfortable and refreshing experience.
Increased Durability
This not only enhances its resistance to warping, shrinking, and rot but also ensures superior durability. With low thermal conductivity, Thermowood offers a gentle, slow heat-up, promising a more enjoyable and comfortable sauna experience.
Improved Insulation
As a result the insulation properties are improved keeping the heat inside and the noise from outside, out, ensuring a relaxing sauna experience.
FAQ
If you have more questions please call us or let us know in the chat, we will then add these questions here.
Q. What maintenance is required after I assemble my sauna?
You should treat your sauna inside and out as soon as possible after assembly. This is required to protect the wood and to validate your warranty. It is personal preference as to whether you decide to paint the sauna bench, but we recommend that you do. We recommend a breathable oil based treatment such as Tikkurila Supi Sauna Finish.
Q. What maintenance is required if I buy an already assembled sauna?
None, it will be treated already at the factory before it is shipped.
Q. Can the sauna be painted a different colour?
Yes, you can paint it any colour you like as long as it is a breathable treatment.
Q. Why is there no insulation in this sauna?
Most simply put, it's not necessary. This is a compact sauna, the thermowood has excellent insulation properties and the sauna is designed to minimise heat loss.
Q. What is the benefit of buying the sauna fully assembled?
If you have sufficient access we always recommend buying the sauna already assembled. This way it will be assembled by experts and will already be pre-treated. All you would need to do is get your electrician to connect it to you power supply and you could be using your sauna from day one.
Q. How long will it take to assemble my Camilla Kit?
If you are handy with tools and have someone helping you, it could be done in a full day. However, most do it over two days, we recommend getting the external shell up on the first day, then the bench and electrics on the second day.
Q. Can you assemble it for me?
Yes, we have a team of carpenters who can do it for you. The price for this will vary depending on your location. Please contact us for a quote.
Q. Do I need a 3 phase supply?
No, however, you must get a qualified electrician to connect your heater to your power supply. You will need an isolator as a minimum.
Q. Do we have a showroom?
Not yet, however, we have a referral scheme where existing customers can let you view their sauna. If you let us know where you are based, we can see if there's an already installed sauna near you.
Q. Can I swap the heater or anything else in the kit?
Unfortunately not. These are prepackaged kits which are sitting in our warehouse and ready to go. We believe that everything in the kit is perfect for this sauna. If you would like to choose your own specification, please visit this page.

Unloading and Positioning
While delivery to your doorstep is complimentary, the costs associated with unloading and crane positioning are not included. For flat-pack deliveries, we recommend using a forklift for unloading. However, this can also be done manually, which involves unpacking the sauna on the truck and removing it piece by piece.
Installation
If you are not confident in assembling your Camilla, we recommend hiring a local carpenter who should be able to assemble your sauna in a few hours.
Preparation:
1. Read the Manual: Before starting, read the entire installation manual thoroughly to familiarise yourself with all the components and steps.
2. Check Parts: Ensure all parts listed in the details list are present. This includes wooden and glass walls, screws, seals, and other necessary components.
Assembly Steps:
1. Base and Walls:
• Begin with the base structure. Place the wooden beams and ensure they are level using a water level tool.
• Assemble the back wall first, followed by the side walls. Use wood glue between the boards for added stability.
• Temporarily fix the walls using support structures to maintain alignment.
2. Front Wall and Door Installation:
• Install the front wooden wall. If the design includes a glass front wall, handle the glass carefully to avoid damage.
• Apply waterproof silicone into the grooves before fitting the glass.
• Ensure the door is properly aligned and functional before securing it permanently.
3. Roof Assembly:
• Install the roof structure by attaching the roof beams to the top of the walls.
• Add the roof panels, ensuring they are secure and waterproof.
• Follow the shingles installation manual included in the shingles package for detailed steps on finishing the roof.
4. Final Touches and Accessories:
• Install the Harvia Vega Heater BC60, following the heater’s specific installation instructions regarding height and safety clearances.
• Attach the head rests inside the sauna for added comfort.
• Place the accessory set, including the bucket, ladle, and thermometer, in convenient locations within the sauna.
• Set up the LED lighting as per the wiring instructions, ensuring all electrical connections are secure and safe.
Quality Check and Testing:
1. Inspect and Retighten: Check all connections and joints to ensure they are tight and secure. Apply oil to threaded rods to prevent cold welding.
2. Safety Check: Ensure all components, especially the glass, are securely installed and the heater is correctly positioned.
3. Test Run: Perform a test run of the sauna heater to verify that it heats up properly and that the temperature can be monitored accurately with the thermometer.
By following these steps, you will successfully assemble the Camilla Traditional Outdoor Sauna and prepare it for use, providing a luxurious and relaxing experience for up to three people.

- Finish: If the wooden product is not finished inside and outside immediately after assembly.
- Wood characteristics: Natural wood characteristics, including expansion, contraction, tone differences, knots, resin pockets, and minor cracks.
- Other: Damage to glass components by the buyer, condensation on glass, and unforeseen circumstances (theft, vandalism, weather).
Warranty Invalidation:
- Initial inspection: The warranty is void if the buyer does not check the product's quantity, presence, and quality promptly after receiving it and before assembly.
- Installation: Installing faulty components that could have been identified earlier.
- Information: Providing incorrect information or lacking proof of purchase.
The electrical supply required will depend on the kW rating of your chosen heater. We strongly recommend consulting with an electrician prior to any installation.
Typically, a 'dedicated' supply is utilised, similar to those for electric showers or cookers.
To calculate Amps:
- Divide the Watts (e.g., 6000 for a 6kW heater) by the Volts (commonly 230)
- Therefore, the Amps for a 6kW heater approximately equal 25
This small table covers domestic sauna heaters:
- 2.3kW = approximately 10 Amps
- 3.0kW = 13 Amps
- 3.6kW = 15 Amps
- 4.5kW = 19 Amps
- 6.0kW = 26 Amps
- 8.0kW = 35 Amps
- Heaters above 8.0 kW typically require a Three-Phase (commercial-type) supply.
We strongly advise the use of a fully qualified electrician, compliant with all Government Regulations.
This sauna comes with a Harvia Vega BC60 6kW electric heater. This can be run from either a single phase or three phase supply. Please give the heater installation manual to your electrician so that he can understand how to wire it. This can be found here.

Camilla Traditional Outdoor Sauna Complete Kit 2-3 Person
Fantastic garden sauna.
We boutht the sauna end of August and arrived early September as scheduled with us. It was easy to built and took us one day to built the sauna and couple more days to install the door, roof, paint inside/outside and install the benches. We then had the electrician to connect the heater, and Camilla Sauna was ready to use.
As mentioned by other customers, it heats up quickly, smells wanderful, and fits 4-5 people easily.
It is a great experience, we all enjoy it very much, even our kids.
I truly recommend to anyone.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review Joanna! We are thrilled to hear that you are enjoying your Camilla. It's wonderful to hear that it was easy to assemble and that it heats up quickly. We hope you continue to have many enjoyable experiences in your sauna. Thank you for recommending it to others.
Take Care,
Keith and the Heracles Team.
Really enjoying our Camilla sauna. Being smaller than a barrel sauna it heats up quickly, but inside there is still plenty of space for 4 people.
Very easy to use and gives a great sauna experience!
Hi Dan,
We are very happy to hear that you are enjoying your Camilla! We hope you enjoy it for many more years to come.
Best Regards,
Keith and the Heracles Team.
I bought this a couple of months ago, and my only regret is that I didn’t get one years ago.
I honestly cannot recommend this enough. It heats up quickly and is incredibly relaxing and peaceful once you’re inside.
It has two different levels and you can configure the internal seating a number of ways. Either way, it’s easily enough to fit two adults long down (if one person has their knees bent). Or you could happily fit four people sitting (five at a push).
The sauna smells wonderful and is incredibly well insulated, meaning it is HOT in about 20 minutes - and you can turn the heater off once you’re about half way through and it will still stay super hot for another 20-30 minutes (saving on energy costs).
I have a smart meter, and testing it - the sauna costs less for an hour on a hot setting than it costs to dry a load of washing in the tumble dryer.
The sauna took two builders two days to construct, plus a day for the electrician. In the end we put the lights on a separate circuit from the heater but you can run both off the same one if you wanted to.
The only downside were the instructions which were frustratingly vague, and the fact that you have to oil the sauna inside and out before using it. It would have been useful to know this before we had put the seats in. From speaking to Keith - the instructions are in the process of being redrafted which would help.
One more thing to mention - every single part is individually labelled which really helped with the build, so even though the instructions were a bit convoluted we got there in the end :)
Throughout the process Keith was incredibly helpful, patient and remained charming even when I was firing off questions three times a day (thank you Keith!!)
All in all I cannot recommend this enough. It is also amazing for my mental wellbeing, for helping with lots of deep restful sleep and just overall wellness.
Top tip - I also installed a dip tank next to the sauna for the full hot / cold experience, I’d also recommend this if you can run water to wherever the sauna is, it really does add to the experience.
If you have read this far, the only thing left to say is BUY ONE. You won’t regret it.
Cathy x

Many thanks for the long and detailed review, the feedback is invaluable to us. As discussed, we have already updated the instructions to make them clearer and will be available for all future customers.
We hope that you will enjoy your sauna for many years to come!

Keith and the Heracles Team.
