No. The Mondex Tahko has a built-in control, and the HUUM FLOW MINI is wood-burning so doesn't need one. However, the HUUM DROP and HUUM HIVE Mini both require a separate UKU control panel – you can choose from Local Control, Classic WiFi, or Glass Panel WiFi options.

The Comfort is larger (6-8 person vs 4-6 person) and fully customisable – you choose your heater, control panel, and lighting options. The Premium is a pre-configured kit with the HUUM Drop heater, UKU Glass WiFi control, and LED lighting included. The Premium also has a decorative hexagonal back wall and three-level benches, while the Comfort has two-level benches. The Comfort is made to order (3-4 week lead time), while the Premium ships from UK stock.

It depends on your priorities. Wood-burning (HUUM FLOW MINI) offers the most authentic, traditional experience with no electricity needed – ideal for off-grid locations or purists who enjoy the ritual. Electric heaters are more convenient, heat up faster, and can be controlled remotely with WiFi. If you want the best of both worlds, the HUUM HIVE Mini's massive 140kg stone capacity produces löyly closest to wood-burning while still being electric.

Flat pack delivery is included free. The sauna arrives on a large pallet weighing approximately 750kg via tail lift truck. Our driver will move the pallet as far into your driveway as possible. If you choose fully assembled delivery (+£1,300), you'll need to arrange a forklift or crane to unload it – our team can help organise this for an additional charge.

Yes, the Comfort comes with detailed assembly instructions. If you're handy with tools and have help, it can be done in a few days. However, most customers choose professional installation for peace of mind. Our team of 3 carpenters can build it in one day, with prices starting from £1,500 + VAT depending on your location from London.

The Comfort seats 6 adults very comfortably with plenty of space, or up to 8 at a push for social sessions. The two long face-to-face benches provide more usable seating space than the Premium's three-level arrangement, making it ideal for families or those who regularly host guests.

The base must be completely level and able to support approximately 1,150kg (750kg sauna plus users). Suitable materials include concrete, paving slabs, decking, or compacted gravel with a level surface. Avoid placing the sauna on slopes or areas prone to water pooling.

All 9kW electric heaters can run on single-phase or three-phase supply. The Mondex Tahko uses a standard 16A plug. The HUUM heaters require hardwiring by a qualified electrician. You'll need approximately 40 amps on single phase with 6.0mm² cable or higher. Always have a qualified electrician review the heater manual before installation.

The HUUM FLOW MINI package includes everything you need: the stove, protective bedding, floor plate, stones, and chimney set. You don't need any electrical connection. The chimney exits through the roof and must be installed according to building regulations – we recommend having it inspected by a HETAS registered installer if you're unsure.

Outdoor saunas are not maintenance-free. As a minimum, owners should be prepared to inspect and re-treat exposed timber at least every 12 months, or sooner if the manufacturer manual and local conditions require it.

You should also expect normal upkeep such as keeping the sauna clean and ventilated between uses, and making minor door or hinge adjustments over time in line with the manual.

In coastal or sea-air environments, exposed metal parts should be checked more regularly and protected with a rust-proof treatment such as WD-40 or another suitable anti-corrosion product.

Sauna heaters also require maintenance in line with the manufacturer manual. This normally includes periodically checking, washing, and restacking the stones, and in the longer term electric heater elements may need replacing if they wear out.

We do not currently operate a formal maintenance programme, but if you would like help, please contact us and we can quote for an annual service of your sauna.

We provide a 2-year warranty on the cabin when installed by a professional or approved installer. Self-installation carries a 1-year warranty. HUUM heaters come with their own 5-year manufacturer warranty. The wood must be treated inside and out with appropriate breathable oil after assembly to maintain warranty coverage.

We do not currently have a full showroom, but many of our existing customers are happy to show their sauna to prospective buyers.

No. Our installation team can assemble the sauna, but the heater and any other electrical components must still be connected by a qualified electrician.

Yes. Any qualified electrician should be able to connect the sauna, provided they follow the electrical requirements listed in the Electrical Supply section of the product page.

After you place your order, we also send further information that you can pass on to your electrician.

Availability will depend on your location, and you are also welcome to use your own qualified electrician.

Assembly time depends on the model, access, and site conditions. Many outdoor saunas can be assembled in around one day, while larger or more complex models may take longer.

Yes. Our installation team uses specialist carpenters and installers who are experienced in assembling outdoor saunas, which is one of the reasons many customers prefer professional installation.

No, we do not usually carry out site visits before installation.

In most cases, customers can send us photos, measurements, site plans, and access details, and we can advise whether the proposed location looks suitable.

This is normally enough for us to highlight any obvious issues with access, base preparation, or positioning before the installation goes ahead.

In outdoor saunas, it is normal for the timber structure to respond to changes in temperature, humidity, and ambient conditions over time. This can occasionally cause minor movement in the door opening, which may affect how the door closes or sits within the frame.

For this reason, sauna door hinges are designed to be adjustable. Minor door or hinge alignment adjustments over time are normal and should be carried out in line with the manual as part of routine ownership maintenance, rather than being treated as a product fault.
